THE WORLD OF XIM

Each photograph hides a setback, a second look that reveals more sordid details. Some are like velvet fragments, when caressed in one direction they become calm, but when doing it the oposite way, they show a rougher reality.

Treatment of light and scenes sometimes graze a timeless feeling, making it dificult to situate a concrete moment; instead of imitating reality, they reflect a ductile state of spirit. They invite you to travel timeless, to dive into the most profound of feelings in search of answers, incognitos, and wisdom. Sometimes they seem hallucinations, an inspired and rebel feeling, in others, a landscape and light, suggest an immaculate mood. Velvet, water till neck, psycodelic stripes, toilets, shadows that wait before going further, backlighting, against the grain.

There is a spark of spirituality in the content, in the creator´s person, one who unwanting makes art out of his life, and of his life, art, more than creations. Out of this comes the series of portraits, an eagerness of selfdiscovering and an inclination for constant experimentation. Maybe like a question of the own identity that is thrown to us. It moves what you don´t see of the human being, but what you perceive of him. Sometimes the torment ditorts the appearance, the contour and limits of a known reality.

Each photo has a surrealist shade, an aspect that distracts and turns something upside-down inside ourselves, it produces a moment of purgatory that gets out to shine our screaming silences, our strangled feelings.

Each instant becomes a fetish, something desirable, collectable, with a certain vicious point or unattainable.

The pictures have an antique smell,of past,something that could be but never was, of something that you would like it to be, or a mirror of illusions. Parchments, top hats, coffers, boxes of secrets, rituals, prayers, screams of crows in desert corners. The nihilism of a white void and mannequin bodies moved like marionettes by threads and sinister pulls.

A vibrant light that comunicates (shines) two worlds like a new aura of games and anesthetic pleasures.

A carnaval of subtle grandiosity, it makes itself concrete even in the velvet, hats, crows, angels, a dada touch given in the photos.
